It was such a cool experience to do the uber popular talk show on CBS “The Talk” this past week! I gave tips from some of my favorite projects in The First Apartment Book and you can check out my segment here!
Lets face it, HGTV is one of the leaders in all things design - we watch their shows, read their blogs, and follow their design stars. They gave us a great write up on their blog, Design Happens, and you can read my whole interview here!
We’ve been doing a really great partnership with the style website Beso.com. Every week they feature a different chapter in the book and make the images shoppable! Super cool! One of my favorite chapters in the book was The Preppy!
We’re international people! The German magazine COUCH did a cool feature on the book - it’s pretty exciting to see that these ideas really are international and we all go through the same experience of our first time place!
I love Madewell so I was stoked to see them feature on of my favorite DIY projects from the book - The Book Planter! Check out their feature here and see the step by step process! It would make a great housewarming gift!
One of my favorite design blogs, Desire to Inspire, also happens to be one of the most influential being part of Martha Stewart’s exclusive circle of blogs. So getting such a great review from them is especially humbling and important! See the full review by clicking on the link below!
This past Sunday, The Chicago Tribune ran a feature on the small loft I designed in Chicago. It was picked up nationally by other Tribune papers and its full of ideas for turning an open space into distinct areas!
I’m so excited to announce that Refinery29 has named me to their “30 under 30” List and even talk about the book! I love their description of it as “An answer to any champagne-taste-on-a-beer-budget decorator’s prayer”
Last week I was in New York City partnering with HauteLook to turn 3 cramped apartments into chic spaces in anticipation for my book release. HauteLook will be having sales next week inspired by the event and among the MANY interviews I did for the project one of my favorites was with Jordan from StyleList Home (and her own fun blog Ramshackle Glam). Here’s a look at her blog link:
